The initiative was designed to provide essential healthcare services to the residents of the Boali Sub-Prefecture, many of whom have limited access to consistent medical facilities. Throughout the day, a dedicated team of military doctors and medical personnel worked tirelessly to address the health needs of the community.

By the end of the exercise, over 174 patients had been attended to. Each individual underwent a thorough consultation and diagnosis process. The medical team treated a wide range of conditions, ensuring that every patient left with the appropriate medication and professional advice on how to manage their health moving forward.

The outreach was warmly received by local leaders and the public alike. Mr. Youskou Camille, the Mayor of Boali, visited the site to witness the impact of the program firsthand. He expressed his sincere appreciation for the initiative, commending the Rwandan contingent for their proactive approach to community support.

“We are grateful for the continued support from RWABATT-2,” Mayor Camille stated. He further emphasized that the peacekeepers have built a foundation of strong cooperation and trust with the local population, which is essential for lasting peace and stability in the region.

This medical outreach is a key part of MINUSCA’s Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) activities. It highlights the commitment of Rwandan peacekeepers to not only maintain security but also to improve the daily lives and well-being of the people they are deployed to protect.
